The Hospital Auxiliary’s vision is to assist Hilton Head Regional Healthcare in improving healthcare quality, access, and delivery throughout the region.  We accomplish this in two ways.  The first is to render assistance and comfort to the patients of Hilton Head Regional Healthcare and their families through an in-service volunteer program.  Hilton Head Regional Healthcare is comprised of Hilton Head Hospital, Coastal Carolina Hospital and their affiliated facilities and practices.  The second goal is to enrich the quality of life, health, and education of the residents of Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, and surrounding areas.  In 2024, the Auxiliary will celebrate its 50th year of support for Hilton Head Regional Healthcare and it continues to expand its programs and its positive impact on families in the area.

The Auxiliary maintains the Children’s Memorial Garden, a place created to honor those children who have passed.  It operates the Auxiliary Trolley to drive patients and visitors from parking lots to physician offices and outpatient clinics around the Hilton Head Hospital campus. It promotes and supports women’s health issues through educational literature, informational programs and special needs. It provides patients who do not have sufficient funds with prescription medicines, durable medical equipment, infant car seats and co-pays for rehabilitative care.  The Auxiliary also funds a large scholarship program to support students in need who are pursuing degrees in clinical healthcare fields.
